Mohammad Afzal Guru was the mastermind behind the 13 December 2001 attack on Indian Parliament.
He was hanged to death at Tihar Jail on Saturday 9 February 2013 at morning 8 am and buried there itself in the jail premises.
Afzal Guru's mercy petition was recently rejected by Indian President Pranab Mukherjee.
Afzal Guru was sentenced to death by Supreme Court in 2004, but the punishment got delayed because his wife filed a mercy petition to President.

This is the right punishment to a criminal, who insulted one of the largest democracy in the world. But because of weakness of the Indian rulers, it happened unpardonably late.
